United Hmong SW MN - Membership

The Hmong Language and Culture Program is an essential investment to preserve cultural identity, maintain language confidence, and inspire educational opportunities. Our children need to deepen their reading and writing in Hmong, strengthening a skill that connects them to family, community, and heritage. They should also explore Hmong history and cultural traditions to help them understand where they come from and how their story fits into a larger narrative. Just as importantly, this program creates space for our children to imagine their futures by introducing them to higher education pathways and career possibilities, showing them that their cultural knowledge and academic goals can grow together. By combining language learning, cultural pride, and future planning, this program empowers young people to step into adulthood with a strong sense of who they are and what they can achieve.
